Ju Studios Wins Crea Digital 2026 with Fragments

The recognition will help consolidate a playable version of the project and strengthen its national and international reach

At Ju Studios, we are celebrating a new milestone: Fragments was selected as one of four projects awarded support in the Video Game Development category of Crea Digital 2026.

This result holds special meaning for us: it was our first application to Crea Digital. Through this recognition, we will receive financial support equivalent to approximately USD 30,000, along with technical assistance and specialized guidance to continue strengthening the game.

More than an award, this support represents an opportunity to consolidate a playable version that more clearly expresses the narrative, artistic, and mechanical vision of Fragments.

Memory as a playable space

Fragments is a narrative adventure for PC in which players accompany Juan, a Colombian carpenter nearing the end of his life, as he attempts to reconstruct his identity through incomplete and emotionally distorted memories within a symbolic space connected to his grandparents’ farm.

The experience does not ask players to recover a single correct version of the past. Instead, it invites them to explore, interpret, and reorganize Juan’s memories.

Within each fragment, players discover Echoes, adopt different stances toward what happened, and decide which meaning will occupy the center of that memory. These decisions affect the connections between memories and gradually transform the color, sound, animation, camera, environment, and clarity with which Juan perceives his own story.

In this way, interpretation becomes more than a narrative reflection. It becomes a visible, playable action capable of changing the experience itself.

A deeply Colombian identity

On both a narrative and visual level, Fragments explores memory, identity, and loss from an intimate perspective deeply connected to rural Colombia.

The farm, carpentry, everyday objects, landscapes, and family relationships are not simply part of the setting. They form part of the game’s emotional structure and shape the way Juan preserves, transforms, and reconstructs his memories.

These territorial roots allow the project to approach universal themes from a specific cultural perspective. Our goal is to create a work that is recognizable through its origins while still connecting with players from different places through shared emotions and questions.

From an authorial vision to a solid playable experience

The support from Crea Digital 2026 comes at a decisive stage for the project. The funding and guidance will help strengthen its core mechanics, deepen the integration between narrative and gameplay, consolidate its visual direction, and validate the experience with players.

It also represents progress in establishing Fragments as an original intellectual property developed by Ju Studios. Our goal is to position it as a premium PC title, with a planned release on Steam and a strategy focused on reaching national and international markets.

As part of this journey, we will continue presenting the project to publishers, investors, and strategic partners who share our vision and can contribute to its next stages of funding, production, publishing, and growth.

The next stage of Fragments has already begun

Being selected for Crea Digital 2026 recognizes the work we have built around Fragments and confirms the potential of a project that combines cultural identity, creative ambition, and commercial potential.

The support of the Ministry of Information and Communications Technologies, the Ministry of Cultures, Arts, and Knowledge, and CoCrea allows us to move forward with a stronger production roadmap and prepare the project for its next challenges.

We are grateful for this support and remain committed to turning Fragments into a memorable experience: a video game in which reconstructing a life also means deciding how to remember it.
